Warranty Coverage
SenseCore warrants that its devices are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one year from the date of delivery. This warranty applies solely to the original purchaser and covers defects arising from normal use.
Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or unauthorized repair attempts will void the warranty.
Any tampering with or disassembling a SenseCore device will immediately void the warranty.
Warranty Start Date
The warranty period starts on the date of delivery, as confirmed by the shipping carrier’s tracking information. Customers should retain this information for any future warranty claims.
Warranty Return Shipping
For warranty claims within the continental US and Canada, SenseCore will cover shipping costs both to and from the customer.
For international claims, customers are responsible for shipping the defective device to SenseCore, but SenseCore will cover return shipping for repaired or replacement units.
Returns and Refunds Policy
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery. The following conditions apply for a refund:
The product must be in its original condition, with no signs of tampering or damage.
Customers must provide photographic evidence of the product’s condition to initiate a return.
Refunds for non-defective items are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Return shipping costs for non-defective items will be deducted from the refund.
Large orders (50 devices or more) or customized projects may be excluded from the 30-Day Money-back Policy at the discretion of SenseCore.
Defective Merchandise
For products found to be defective, no restocking fee will apply, and SenseCore will cover all return shipping costs. Customers can choose between a full refund or a replacement device after the returned item is inspected.
Refund Process
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method within 1-14 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned merchandise.
Customized devices are non-refundable. Any product that has been modified, configured, or customized to client specifications is not eligible for return or refund.
Pre-Orders / Out-of-Stock Items
Orders for out-of-stock items must be paid in full at the time of purchase and are subject to manufacturing and shipping lead times.
Cancellation of a pre-order or out-of-stock item will incur a 20% cancellation fee.
Order Processing
All orders are subject to up to 30 days of processing, which includes manufacturing, quality control (QOC), and shipping. We appreciate your patience as we ensure that all products meet our high standards.
Return Shipping & RMA Procedure
All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), which can be obtained by contacting SenseCore support at support@sensecore.ca.
Once an RMA is issued, SenseCore will provide a prepaid shipping label for defective items. Customers must use this label to return the product.
For non-defective items, customers are responsible for return shipping, which will be deducted from the refund.
Customs Confiscation
SenseCore is not responsible for shipments that are damaged, delayed, or confiscated by customs authorities. Customers must be aware of and comply with their country’s import regulations before placing an order.
SenseCore Inc. – Terms of Service
Last Updated: May 25th, 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of all monitoring devices, hardware, software, data platforms, connectivity solutions, and property oversight systems (collectively, “Products and Services”) provided by SenseCore Inc. (“SenseCore,” “we,” or “us”), an Ontario corporation, either directly or through an authorized third-party installer (“Authorized Installer”).
By accessing, installing, configuring, or using any SenseCore Products or Services, or by signing a work order or proposal referencing these Terms, you (“Client” or “you”) agree to the following:
1. Scope and Nature of Services
SenseCore’s systems are supplemental and not certified life safety solutions. They are not substitutes for legally required or code-compliant monitoring systems. SenseCore makes no guarantees that its systems will detect or report every hazard, event, or failure. Use is voluntary and at your own risk.
2. Installation Integrity
Devices must remain in their original installed positions. Any tampering, relocation, or unauthorized modification voids all warranties, service commitments, and technical support. SenseCore disclaims liability for any resulting damage or failure.
3. Network and Connectivity
If you connect devices to your own network (Wi-Fi or LAN), you are responsible for ensuring its reliability. SenseCore is not liable for performance issues caused by ISP disruptions, weak signals, or poor network configurations. Cellular service provided by SenseCore operates on a best-effort basis and is subject to third-party coverage and environmental conditions.
4. Battery Maintenance
You are responsible for monitoring and replacing batteries in battery-powered devices. SenseCore is not liable for any failures or damages caused by battery depletion or neglect.
5. Mechanical Components
Mechanical components such as shut-off valves and actuators are vulnerable to environmental conditions, including sediment buildup and corrosion. No guarantees are made regarding their performance. SenseCore disclaims liability for failures due to such factors.
6. Limited Warranty
A limited 30-day hardware warranty covers manufacturer defects that render a device non-functional. The warranty excludes consumables, labor, and any third-party costs. Claims must be submitted in writing and are subject to SenseCore’s evaluation. Damage caused by misuse, poor maintenance, or environmental factors voids the warranty.
7. Disclaimer of Liability
SenseCore is not liable for any losses or damages—including property damage, third-party claims, or business disruption—resulting from the use or failure of its Products or Services. All data is provided for informational purposes only and is not suitable for legal, regulatory, or billing use. SenseCore is not responsible for decisions made using inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable data, or for cybersecurity breaches.
8. Fees and Pricing
All pricing, including installation and monitoring fees, is detailed in your signed work order. Each device includes one year of complimentary monitoring. After the first year, ongoing monitoring fees will apply unless you provide written cancellation to support@sensecore.ca.
Current rates (subject to change):
Sensors: $10/month or $100/year per device
Gateways with SenseCore cellular service: $25/month or $250/year per device
Continued use after the first year constitutes acceptance of the then-current pricing.
9. Agreement Acceptance
By signing a work order, using any SenseCore Product or Service, or accessing our platform, you agree to these Terms, the terms in your work order, and those found at www.sensecore.ca/policy. The signed work order forms the binding contract. SenseCore may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of all changes.
10. Force Majeure
SenseCore is not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, wars, labor disputes, utility outages, or disruptions from third-party providers. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected Product or Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SenseCore, its affiliates, and Authorized Installers from any claims or liabilities resulting from your misuse, negligence, or third-party reliance on system data.
12. Installer Limitations
SenseCore is not responsible for damages caused by third-party or Authorized Installers. Unauthorized resale, reuse, or disposal of system components may void warranties and impair performance, for which SenseCore disclaims all responsibility.
13. Dispute Resolution
All disputes shall be governed by the laws of Ontario and resolved through binding arbitration. You waive any right to participate in class actions or jury trials.
14. Software and Compliance
You are responsible for keeping all related software up to date. Service interruptions may occur if updates are not maintained. Use of SenseCore systems does not imply code compliance or regulatory certification. You are solely responsible for compliance with applicable laws and standards.
15. Term and Termination
This Agreement begins upon execution of the work order, acceptance of service, or equipment activation. It remains in effect for as long as the Products or Services are in use. Termination requires written notice to support@sensecore.ca and confirmation from SenseCore. Simply disconnecting or deactivating a system does not terminate this Agreement. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for non-payment, breach, or misuse.
16. Post-Termination Obligations
You remain liable for all accrued charges prior to termination. Unauthorized use after termination is a breach and may result in legal action. Indemnity obligations and liability limitations survive termination.
17. Acknowledgment
By signing the work order or using SenseCore Products or Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, including all disclaimers, limitations, and responsibilities.
